UGP Design - Featured Project

Sheraton Bangalore, Southern India

This contemporary 5 Star hotel is located in Brigade Enterprises' Gateway Lifestyle Enclave in Bangalore, Southern India. The enclave features 1200 luxury apartments, Bangalore's largest and most up-market shopping mall, an entertainment centre, fitness club, a World Trade Centre tower, private hospital, private elementary school, a man-made lake and the Sheraton Bangalore, Starwood's first, new build Sheraton Branded hotel in India.

The hotel is a sophisticated, international-style property featuring an impressive lobby of granite and marble and providing 5 Star exclusive hotel services. UGP Design was commissioned to design the property's environmental graphics and way-finding signage, including exterior rooftop signage and the collateral for the Sheraton Hotel's guest sensitive amenities and the food and beverage outlets.

In addition, UGP Design was requested to design the wayfinding graphics package for the entire campus, the exterior building advertising signage for the Orion Mall, Galaxy Club, the Entertainment centre, the Brigade Private School and the World Trade Centre.

Attending Hindu blessings, sighting the views from Southern India's tallest tower (at that time unfinished!) and ensuring that the fabrication of the signage and food and beverage collateral is first class, is all just part of the UGP Design new hotel opening, project services.

inukshuk SP

One of the most exciting aspects of visual communication is the creation of an identity for a new venture. The founders of Inukshuk SP had spent several years in Canada and were especially enamoured with Inuit folk art and the landscape it both reflects and inhabits.

The company is a leading edge, IP wireless security, alarm transmission management entity featuring state-of-the-art technology that is unique in their industry.

The resulting Brand Identity was created to reflect these two seemingly disparate elements - Inukshuk SP embodying the strength of ancient solidarity whilst portraying contemporary technology via the colourways and text elements.  The SP tag stands for Secure Pathway, the safe route as indicated by the Inuit Inukshuk and the safe alarm transference soft and hardware.

This unique logo concept was then extrapolated out to stationery, business cards, presentation folders, sales aids and fact sheets and the ‘look and feel’ of their website.
